The reason why I was absent from blogging(although I still maintained my daily posts on this blog) was because I attended my god daughters wedding. Mia is the only daughter of my friend Bonita or Bunny as we nicknamed her when we were still working together in a bank.Bunny,my friend and the brides mother, informed me about her engagement a year ago and soon after I bought my ticket to San Diego determined that I will be present during her wedding.
So here are the photos of that beautiful day in February when my god daughter Mia tied the knot with Joe at the Grand Tradition Estate in Fallbrook,California.
At the Bride's Dressing Room
Her Wedding Gown was studded with Swarovski Crystals.
There were some unique, small but interesting touches in the wedding.
Mia must have spent hours of research in Pinterest to come up with unique features like this along the wedding aisles. She placed Hydrangeas in Mason Jars and strung them on the corners of the chairs.
A friend of the bride made a cute frame for the couple which was displayed at the reception desk. The bride chose an interesting bottle stopper give away with the words "Love in Bloom".
The cake had "Love,Happiness ,Forever" wordings written all over it. Cute white umbrellas were provided since rain was expected to pour .Luckily the rain came only after the ceremony when everyone was already inside the tent for the reception.
Everyone also had fun taking photos at the Photo booth.
The centerpiece , an original idea of the bride. She placed candles and small sago like balls together with loose blooms inside a round vase with battery powered candle light.Nothing beats the ambiance of a room full of twinkling candle lights.
Mia and Joe's Signature Cocktail.
The venue, the Grand Tradition Estate is such a beautiful place surrounded by gardens and fountains. It is located in Fallbrook ,California which probably nobody knows (or maybe only me) is the Avocado Capital of the world.
The reception was held in a tented area that has a fountain and fireplace at the end of the garden. It allowed for the venue to have mood lights that changed in color once the music is played.
The ceremony was very solemn and was officiated by a judge who is a close friend of the grooms family. The bridesmaid and maid of honor were all close friends of the bride while the bestman and party of the groom were all close friends of the groom. Both the bride and the groom even wrote their own wedding vows.
The wedding reception was emceed by a DJ who also played the songs during the reception. Next was the dancing and everyone had a good time.
The slicing of the Wedding Cake.
The first dance of the young couple Joe and Mia Wiesenberg.
Father and daughter dance.
Mother and Son dance.
The Bouquet Toss.
The groom removing the garter from the bride.I think Joe removed Mia's shoe and not the garter (LOL).
The brides' family:My friend Bunny and husband Dave and Dave's Aunt DJ and sister Nancy.
And one last bit, we sent them away with soap bubbles in their hair. We blowed soap bubbles along their path.
Everyone however had a huge smile on their faces as the night ended just like the couple Joe and Mia who were all smiles as they begin the best times of their young lives.
The couple were off to their European Honeymoon a day after the wedding after a breakfast reception at the Wiesenberg's beautiful home with a picturesque view of mountains and the golf course.
